...how can we make you any more comfortable...

...ah, the life of a cat...
...especially in our home...

...this is Squeek...
...who found us many years ago...
...and basically said...
..."I'm choosing you to be my family"...

...so we don't really know his age...
...we know he is 15 or even more...

...he is the true alpha cat...
...he lets the other kitties and us know that daily...

...this is how he spends much of his day...
...total comfort...
...is his daily routine...

...he is very demanding early in the morning...
...wanting food...
...but then usually rejecting whatever is offered...

...he has had some health issues...
...but now seems to be better...

...can you think of anything we could do...
...to make him more comfortable around here...

...he really doesn't like for me to photograph him...
...is that a look of scorn...

...I never wanted a cat...
...now we have four...
...especially never wanted kitties inside...
...let's just say I was outvoted...

...now I live with a kitty circus...
...trying to make each one more comfortable...
...that's my job...

"After scolding one's cat one looks into its face and is seized by the ugly suspicion
that it understood every word.
And has filed it for reference."

  2. Ah yes, we too have been 'Adopted' by our Feline Fur Babies who arrived like a band of Nomads and decided that Bohemian Valhalla would be "Home" and we would be the Humans who would become their Servants! The Bohemian Cat Boys and Yul (King of Siam and everything within his domain) have Trained us well... and I'm Adoring that Quote by Charlotte Gray, so True! Squeek is Adorable!

  4. LOL, Sally—we just bought a heated cat bed for our senior citizen, Snowie, so there is no doubt who is running the show in this household! Just when I think I'm totally fed up with the little beasites, one of them looks up at me and starts purring spontaneously. Might as well face the truth...I am not going to conquer the invasion of the kitty cat horde! (Had to repost because I misspelled, "horde." ;o) )

  5. Ah, Sally this is such a special and fun post to read! I really like kitties, and have had several over the years. I'm always intrigued at how they are so cute and quiet, but yet so persnickety! We now have a large Ragdoll that is the real King of the place - but so gentle and sweet. He isn't fond of getting his picture taken either, unless he's "in the mood". It appears that Squeek is quite spoiled and fond of soft cuddly bed covers. :)
