"White...is not a mere absence of colour; it is a shining and affirmative thing, as fierce as red, as definite as black...God paints in many colours; but He never paints so gorgeously, I had almost said so gaudily, as when He paints in white."

...there's something about a small town fourth of July parade...

Life is short...
 break the rules...

kiss slowly...
love truly...
laugh uncontrollable...and...
never regret anything that made you smile...

...independence, freedom and that beautiful flag...

...in memory of our loving Gram...
Chloe Fix James Galbraith
born on the 4th of July, 1894

"You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness.  You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism."
 ~Erma Bombeck
