...true confessions...

...there are no towel bars...
...there is no door...
...but...

...lots of stars on my dreamy shower curtain...

...a couple images of Dad...
...he was so young on the left...
...he was so young at heart on the right...

...creamy white drapes on the doorway...
...and shelf above...

...the suitcase I carried as a child...
...my brother took me to Washington DC...
...my initials are still there...
...SJB...

...on the narrow shelf above the pegs...
...a lovely photo of my husband's class as H. S. seniors...
...sweet white pitchers...
...a tarnished old silver bud vase...

...on the wall...
...a wonderful heart motif carved in wood...
...which used to be part of some old Victorian house many years ago...

...it is a tiny bathroom...
...but I do love it...
...cozy...
...white...
...complete with chandelier...

...the bathroom tissue holder is unique...
...doubling as a magazine rack...

...my favorite piece..
...this little gem is perfect for storing treasures..
...jewelry...
...make-up...

...I'm a shameful 'stacker'...
...even in my bathroom...

...from old Old Spice to a shoe last with my name on it...
...vintage platter and one more star...
...another little shelf doing double duty...

...an old wire basket with crisp white wash cloths...
...reminds me of childhood summers at the pool in Brook...

...do you recognize me...
...a friend gave me that sweet little frame...

...the miniature dress form on the left...
...is covered with white buttons...
...all sewed on my hand...
...true confessions...
...yes, I did it...

...the tiniest little little cherub...
...in the right hand corner...
...is in charge of keeping order...
...and serenity in this little spot...
...I only wish she could clean my sweet bathroom, too...

The more experiments you make the better."

...another white collection...

...on a recent little get-a-way...

...I found a box of a dozen balls of vintage crochet thread...

...I just love the wonderful soft tones...

...of course individual spools of a fuzzy thread...
...all tied together with a vintage taupe ribbon...

...had to be added to my collection...

...then I found this delightful little book...
...dated 1906...
...the year of my father's birth...

...luckily everything fit into a very large glass vase...

...in this day and age...
...are there any famous orations any more...
...included in this book is one that was given honoring the life of Queen Victoria...
...delivered about two weeks after her death...

...the editor's name is quite familiar...
...and he has quite an interesting history...

...I love the images through the glass vase...

...I love the geometry of the winding thread...

...so...
...a collage was created...
...to represent the soft tones and detail...
...of my new white collection...
...I just had to post it on Flickr...

...shades of old white...

...I adore everything about old paper...

...the color...

...the smell...

...the texture...

...the edges...

...the fonts...

...recently, I found these papers in an antique shop...

...what a find...

...there were two bundles like this...
...both came home with me...

...I also adore everything about vintage sheet music...

...this shadow box once was a kitchen drawer...
...a garage sale find many years ago for only fifty cents...
...it got quite a make-over...
...and those beautiful music notes grace the back and sides...

...I could share an abundance of photos of my sweet white pitchers...
...but instead will end with another couple of my favorite things...

...playing school...

...as a child I used to love to play school...
...and then for many years it was my career...
...I truly loved teaching...

...now when September comes...
...I still think about school...
...but I'm so happy that I am now able to pursue other things...

...this image was processed with PicMonkey...
...usually I work in Photoshop Elements...

...sometimes I set up a photo shoot...
...and never 'play' with any of the photos....

...these are some muslin pears that I made years ago...
...they are painted white with little sticks for stems...
...and a little white leaf...

...they have been photographed more than anything else in my home...

...always such good models...
...easy to pose...
...always ready...

...I love the simplicity...
...and the vintage tones...

...I named this one 'back to school'...
...how lucky am I to be able to enjoy my photographic journey...

...sunflower love...

...wow...so much enjoyment from just five gorgeous sunflowers...
...a bouquet purchased at Trader Joe's...
...the best bargain in the store...
